Why your bred Legendary is tradeable — or bound

When you breed a Legendary, it arrives in one of two states:

  • TRADEABLE  — you can list and sell it on the marketplace.
  • BOUND  — it's yours to keep, level, battle and enjoy, but it can't be sold. (In-game it shows a SOULBOUND tag.)

Which one you get is decided by a simple, fair question: are you a real, invested player? A bred Legendary is tradeable by default — it only comes out bound if you bred it from a bound parent, or if you're a fresh account (below Level 26) holding under 100,000 $ZOLANA. This page explains the rule, shows how holdings and level set your Legendary odds, and walks through real examples.

THE ONE-LINE RULE

A bred Legendary is tradeable — unless a parent was bound, or you're below Level 26 and hold under 100,000 $ZOLANA. Buy in or grind up: both are honest roads to a Legendary. Your $ZOLANA and your level raise your odds of hitting one (holdings up to 18%, level up to 8%), but neither locks it — only a bound parent or an unfunded fresh account does.

The Two Roads Whichever is higher wins

Every breed looks at your Legendary jackpot chance down two roads and takes the higher one — never both added together.

HOLDINGS ROAD → up to 18%

Your real $ZOLANA balance raises your Legendary chance, from a 3% floor up to an 18% cap (reached at 4M $ZOLANA — "Titan"). Holding is the only road to the top: ~6% at 500k, ~8% at 1M, ~12% at 2M, and the full 18% apex at a 4M Titan.

LEVEL ROAD → up to 8%

Your trainer level also raises your chance — as if you held a matching amount — but this road is capped at 8%. A pure grinder still earns a real Legendary chance; they just can't reach the holdings-only heights above 8%. (Grinding no longer binds the result — see the bound rule below.)

The comparison is a straight one: whichever road gives the bigger jackpot chance is the one that sets your odds — grinding tops out at 8%, and only real holdings climb toward the 18% apex. Whether the Legendary comes out tradeable or bound is a separate question, answered next.

WHY THE LEVEL ROAD IS CAPPED

Leveling up costs no $ZOLANA, so without a cap a single player could grind free alt accounts into apex-odds Legendary "printers" and flood the market. Capping the level road at 8% means grinding still earns a real Legendary chance, while only players with real $ZOLANA behind them reach the 18% top. That keeps the best odds — and the biggest share of Legendary supply — tied to genuine holdings.

WHAT ACTUALLY BINDS A LEGENDARY

Odds are one thing; the bound/tradeable stamp is another. A bred Legendary is TRADEABLE unless either parent is bound (a bound parent always breeds a bound child), or you're below Level 26 and hold under 100,000 $ZOLANA — the fresh-account gate that stops brand-new alts from farming free tradeable Legendaries. A Level-26-or-higher trainer breeds TRADEABLE Legendaries no matter how little $ZOLANA they hold; grinding up is a legitimate road.

How Much $ZOLANA to Out-Earn Your Level Better odds

Both roads set your Legendary odds, and the game takes the higher. Your level is worth a certain amount of $ZOLANA-equivalent odds; hold more than that and your holdings road takes over and keeps climbing toward the 18% apex. The table shows, at each level, roughly how much you'd hold to match your own level road — beat it and your odds rise with every extra token (the game reads your live balance the moment you breed):

Your level Level-road odds $ZOLANA to match it Hold more than that…
Lv 10–273.0% (floor)any balanceholdings lift odds only past ~170,000

Lv 907.8%~866,000holdings set your odds
Lv 95–1008.0% (cap)~925,000level road ends — holdings climb on to 18%

This table is about odds, not tradeability. Below the listed number your level sets your Legendary chance; above it your holdings take over and keep climbing to the 18% apex. (Tradeability is separate: bound only from a bound parent, or below Level 26 holding under 100,000 $ZOLANA.)

TWO THINGS THE TABLE SHOWS

1. Holdings are the only way past 8%. Your level road tops out at 8% (around Level 95), so once you've matched it, every extra token of real $ZOLANA is the only thing that lifts your odds further — all the way to the 18% apex at a 4M Titan.

2. The tradeability floor is separate. None of these holdings are needed to keep a Legendary tradeable at Level 26+. The one holdings gate for tradeability is the fresh-account floor: below Level 26 you must hold ≥100,000 $ZOLANA, or the bred Legendary comes out bound.

Worked Examples Real scenarios

Five trainers — see how holdings and level set each one's odds, and why only the unfunded fresh account comes out bound:

  • Grinder (Lv 51, 27k) — leveled hard but holds little. Their level road (5.7%) beats their holdings road (3%), so leveling sets their odds — but they're well past Level 26 with tradeable parents, so the Legendary is tradeable. Grinding no longer binds the result. To raise their odds further they'd hold more $ZOLANA (past ~398,000 their holdings out-earn their own level road).
  • Mid holder (Lv 28, 463k) — a real holder. 463k (6.0%) beats the ~173k their level is worth, so holdings set their odds; Level 26+ with tradeable parents → tradeable.
  • Whale (Lv 25, 8.6M) — holdings road is maxed at the 18% cap, dwarfing the 3% level road. Below Level 26, but 8.6M clears the 100k fresh-account floor with room to spare → tradeable.
  • Bought-in low level (Lv 12, 1M) — buying in is a legitimate road. Holdings (8.3%) tower over the tiny level road, and 1M is far past the 100k fresh-account floor → tradeable.
  • New player, lucky roll (Lv 9, 7 tokens) — below Lv 26 there's a flat 100,000 $ZOLANA floor, and 7 tokens is nowhere near it → bound. A fresh account can't farm a free tradeable Legendary; buy past 100k (or level up to 26) and it flips to tradeable (see the "bought-in" row).
Questions Good to know
Is it my average balance or my balance right now?

Your live balance at the exact moment you breed. You can top up your $ZOLANA right before breeding to push a Legendary onto the tradeable side.

I'm a whale but my bred Legendary is still bound — why?

A bound parent forces a bound child, no matter how much you hold. Free onboarding creatures (and other bound stock) can't breed a tradeable Legendary. To mint a tradeable one you need two tradeable parents (and, if you're below Level 26, at least 100,000 $ZOLANA held).

Do Legendaries from Mystery Eggs get bound too?

No. This rule is breeding-only. A Legendary from a Mystery Egg, shop egg, or any non-breeding source hatches tradeable by default.

Can I make a bound Legendary tradeable later?

No — a Legendary that hatched bound (from a bound parent, or a sub-Level-26 unfunded breed) stays bound for that creature; it's meant to be used, not resold. (Separately, items bought with soulbound gems can be converted to tradeable for a $ZOLANA fee; that's a different lock and doesn't apply to bound bred Legendaries.)

Why does it take more $ZOLANA to out-earn a higher level?

Because a higher level gives you a bigger level road, so it takes more $ZOLANA to beat it and push your odds higher. This is about odds, not tradeability — your level never binds a Legendary. The level road stops climbing at Lv 95, where it hits its 8% cap (about 925,000 $ZOLANA-equivalent); only real holdings go higher, up to the 18% apex.

Under the Hood Traced to the data

Every number on this page is traced to the live game logic. The Legendary jackpot chance is a smooth curve of $ZOLANA ("Curve A": 3% floor → 18% cap at 4M); the named holder tiers (Duke ~6%, Whale ~8%, Leviathan ~12%, Titan 18%) are just labels on that curve, not steps. Your odds take the higher of the holdings road and the level road (the latter capped at 8%). The bound/tradeable stamp is a separate gate: bound only from a bound parent, or a breed below Level 26 holding under 100,000 $ZOLANA.
