Creature Abilities

Every creature is born with a fixed set of passive abilities — 1 to 5 of them, listed on its inspector card. Abilities are innate to the species: you cannot swap, learn, or remove them, so a creature's ability line-up is part of what makes it worth owning. They are always on and never cost anything to run.

Abilities do two jobs:

  • Economy auras that raise the Gold your placed roster earns while idle — the workhorses of the 2026 Gold-abundant economy.
  • Utility passives that touch feeding and egg hatching.

There are 14 named abilities. Eight are wired into live game mechanics today; the other six are flavor tags on a creature's profile reserved for future systems (they still show on the card, but grant no bonus yet). This page states exactly which is which and gives the precise value of every wired effect.

AURAS STACK ACROSS YOUR WHOLE ROSTER

Economy auras read from every creature you have placed, not just the one that owns the ability. A single CoinAura carrier lifts the earnings of all your placed creatures at once, so a well-built lineup compounds. This is why placement — not just power — matters.

Effect Cheat-Sheet Exact values

All bonuses below are pulled from the live game code (idle.ts, the feed route, and the incubate route). "Scope" tells you which creatures an aura pays out to.

Economy Auras Idle Gold

How idle Gold is built

Your placed roster produces Gold every second while you are away, capped at an 8-hour accrual window. Each creature's slice of that is:

perCreature = base(rarity, stage) × variantMult × happinessMult × auraMult × relicMult × levelMult

Abilities live inside auraMult. The multiplier starts at 1.0 and each aura that applies to a creature adds its percentage on top:

auraMult = 1 + globalAuras + PackLeader(same-species) + ElementalHarmony(same-element) + elementBonus

Global auras (CoinAura, Inspiration, Radiance) are summed once across your whole placed roster and applied to everyone. The two targeted auras only pay out to creatures that share the carrier's species or element. On top of abilities, Terra creatures carry a built-in +10% element bonus (ELEMENT_COIN_BONUS) that stacks in the same slot.

STACKING IS ADDITIVE, NOT MULTIPLICATIVE

All auras add into the same multiplier. A Terra creature standing next to a CoinAura carrier, a matching PackLeader, and an ElementalHarmony carrier earns 1 + 0.10 + 0.15 + 0.10 + 0.10 = 1.45× — a flat +45%, before happiness, variant, relic, and level multipliers (which each multiply on top).

CoinAura

+10% idle Gold to every placed creature. The single strongest economy passive and the reason Terra species anchor most Gold farms. One carrier is enough to lift the whole roster; extra carriers stack their +10% each.

Inspiration   /   Radiance

+5% idle Gold to every placed creature, each. Two more global auras. They are common on Lux and support-flavored creatures. Run several to layer their +5% contributions.

PackLeader

+15% idle Gold to creatures of the same species. The biggest single-slot boost, but it only pays out to matching species — so PackLeader rewards running duplicates. A pack of the same creature with one PackLeader among them all gain the bonus.

ElementalHarmony

+10% idle Gold to creatures of the same element. Broader than PackLeader — any placed creature sharing the carrier's element benefits. It rewards mono-element rosters (an all-Aqua or all-Terra board).

Utility Passives Feed · Hatch · PvP

EfficientFeeder

Feeding a creature grants +20 happiness and +20 XP on a 10-minute cooldown. EfficientFeeder raises the happiness gain by 50% — the carrier gets +30 happiness per feed instead of +20 (XP is unchanged). Happiness decays at 3 points/hour and directly scales idle earnings, so the extra happiness is real Gold over time.

QuickHatch

Every placed QuickHatch carrier shaves 10% off the hatch time of all your eggs. It stacks per carrier and is clamped so hatch time can never drop below 10% of the base (i.e. 9 carriers = the floor). Because it reads your placed roster — not the egg — parking a few QuickHatch creatures speeds up every incubation you run.

HappinessKeeper

In live combat, a creature's skill is set by its element: each of the seven elements maps to one fixed signature skill (Terra shields, Ignis executes, Aqua siphons, Flora heals, and so on), with rarity scaling its magnitude. The archetype label (Nuker / Tank / Support…) is now a display badge only — it does not change which skill a creature casts, so HappinessKeeper, Radiance, and Inspiration no longer grant a battle role, and a non-Flora carrier of them does not heal. HappinessKeeper is simply a thematic "keeps morale up" passive today. (The old async 3v3 Elder ladder has been retired in favor of real-time 5v5 Gladiator.)

Reserved Passives Flavor tags

These six abilities are printed on creature cards and used to theme a species, but they are not yet wired to a bonus in the shipped build. They cost nothing and do nothing today — think of them as reserved slots for future systems. They are listed here for completeness so the card you see in-game matches the wiki.

DON'T PICK A CREATURE FOR A RESERVED TAG

Because GemFinder, DoubleDrop and the rest grant no bonus yet, they should not sway a purchase or breed. Value a creature on its CoinAura / PackLeader / ElementalHarmony economy auras and its stats.

Who Carries What Species by ability

Ability line-ups are fixed per species (from creatures.ts). Tiered breeding ladders and hybrids carry no abilities — only base egg species, the Day-30 Wishling, and the event/mystery/raid expansion creatures do. Below is every ability and the species that carry it. Rarer creatures generally carry more abilities at once (Mythical godlies stack 3–5).
